XXIII AAI Conference:

Anthropology: what are the next questions?

Padova, 4-6 September 2019

Register

The bi-annual meeting of the Italian Anthropological Association, aimed at bringing together the various streams of Biological Anthropology in a three-day long international conference.

In recent years a number of ground breaking discoveries have been made possible by several technological advances in the fields of ancient and modern genomics, isotopic analysis and virtual anthropology. Also, new developments in the field of applied anthropology have changed our approach to the study of living and past human populations. All these, and other topics, will be distilled in this year' conference, in search of what will be the next relevant research questions.

In addition, a joint symposium with SIBE will promote a dialogue among invited speakers on "what is a population" and will explore the state of the art of "science communication".

Submit your abstract by the 31st of March -> Abstract submission extended to the 15th April!

Early Bird registration closed!

ANNOUNCEMENT: Professor Montgomery Slatkin has been awarded the first Luigi Luca Cavalli-Sforza award, and will give a honorary lecture during the AAI-SIBE joint symposium on the 4th of September.
